options has proven key to Argus' success. We have always provided customers with the services and support required to manage their own
pharmacy networks. Now you can choose to take advantage of our retail
pharmacy networks. These networks give national coverage while letting you
retain unique plan design and management.
We offer five standard Argus retail networks. The combined networks include connections with major pharmacy chains. Each of these networks provides three payment cycles per month, varying rates, and is designed to support customers of different sizes and configurations. Along with the five standard networks, we offer specialty networks to address many specialized forms of care. We've developed networks that focus on individual care, with the understanding that long term care—including nursing home and assisted living—and hospice care present different needs than retail or mail networks. We are also developing a specialty network to provide discounted pricing for a set of high-cost injectable products. To take advantage of a local concentration of lives within your geographical area, we can co-brand a pharmacy network specifically for you. You can have deeply discounted networks in your geographic area or primary service area and, at the same time, wrap it with our national network for your members who are mobile. |
We support networks for customers who maintain their own network
contracts. Each network can have its own variable reimbursement rates,
dispensing fees, MAC lists, and so on, as well as its own schedule for
pharmacy reimbursement. We can accept point-of-sale claims from any
pharmacy in the United States via leased lines with retail chains,
mail-order facilities, and electronic switches.
Argus maintains direct connections with several mail pharmacy services, enabling us to contract with the vendor of your choice. Regardless of the vendor, we provide the same extensive capabilities for mail-order claims as we provide for retail claims, including preadjudication, eligibility, claims processing, reporting, and financial reimbursement.
