With the Argus POC model, pharmacies can increase prescription-filling productivity. Since the claims will be preadjudicated, and will have received authorization prior to being sent to the pharmacy, the changes of a claim being rejected are virtually eliminated.

Fewer rejections also will lead to fewer member, pharmacy, and physician calls to the health plan. Staffing requirements will decrease for the health plan's provider- and member-services help desks. Additionally, prescription errors due to unclear handwriting will be eliminated because of the link, provided by Argus, between the physician and pharmacy.
